The synopsis
Noémie has just earned her CL-415 pilot certification, ready to fly alongside her father Stéphane — a legend among sky firefighters. But fate has other plans: on the very night of her celebration, a fire breaks out. Stéphane takes off — and never comes home.
When Commander Simard knocks on her door, Noémie has no time to grieve. A wave of inexplicable wildfires ravages the region, threatening even her father's own house. As the only pilot who knows every corner of the Great Bear Forest, she has to take the controls — and uncover who is behind the flames.
The creators
TomC (Thomas Coisne) is a French independent author and illustrator working full-time since 2014. A multidisciplinary artist, he specializes in figurative visuals, narrative art and didactic communication. Published, exhibited and screened across France, Canada and New Caledonia, he received the Digital Challenge Award at the 42nd Angoulême International Comics Festival for his graphic novel Moana Roa, le grand océan (2015).
He teaches at the École Artistique de l'Ubaye and currently works from his studio in Neffes, in the French Hautes-Alpes region, on publication and exhibition projects. Full portfolio: tomc-art.com.
Wings of Nebasca is produced by PLM2 inc., a Québec-based publishing house founded by Nicolas Mailloux and Paul-Émile Lévesque.
